Data-Driven Research Platform
Chlorine dioxide research, organized by software we built.
CUPOD® is a chlorine dioxide research company in Pennsylvania. We develop sealed-pod research hardware. We also built our own research software platform. It brings our patents, design files, protocols and lab records into one place, so research decisions can be traced back to their sources.
What runs today
-
One research record. Files come in through a reviewed intake step, where they are logged and filed to their research area.
-
A linked knowledge base. Notes, documents and patents are connected in one searchable knowledge graph.
-
Our AI research assistant. We ask questions by text or voice and get answers drawn from CUPOD's own records. It runs on commercial AI models inside software we built. It is a research aid; people review its answers.
-
Design models. Simulators and notebooks model gas generation inside the pod. They are design tools, not test results.
-
Instrument-log import. The platform can import time-stamped instrument log files and chart them. So far it has only been run on test files, and no CUPOD hardware is connected to it.
We believe good research starts with good records, so we keep ours traceable to their sources.
In development
-
Monitoring and control: sensors, logging and automatic shut-off designed to keep concentrations within set limits and to confirm levels are below occupational exposure limits before an enclosure is opened.
-
Connected units: low-power research units designed to log operating data (concentration, temperature, pressure and device status), send it to the platform for monitoring, and adjust their output automatically to sensor readings within set limits. Each run is started by a person at the unit.
-
In the patents: issued patent US 12,359,324 claims a control board that holds a set pressure inside the bag, with dependent claims covering a chlorine dioxide concentration sensor and a seal-status indicator. A patent describes a design; it is not a test result or a product.
What it is not
Software doesn't change what the hardware is. CUPOD hardware is research and prototype equipment. It is not EPA-registered, FDA-cleared, or offered for sale. The platform does not make exposure or safety decisions.
